KalaKarigari: Magic and Dance Performance

Madari Nomadic Tribe practices public performance with live animals; the Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972 that criminalizes this profession had severe consequences for the tribe - with loss of livelihood, subsequently, access to dignity and life. The Covid 19 pandemic only worsened the circumstances.

As part of 'KalaKarigari' - a series of weekend events and workshops for the exhibition 'what was to pass, remained', art practitioners of the Madari Nomadic Tribe performed magic and dance.
